Engine Build Crew Planner
Set the daily engine target and shift pattern. The planner works out how many certified assemblers each module needs, how many build stations they occupy, and the parts kit to stage each day. Click any module to see its kit.
Module build plan
Labour hours and max crew are editable. Example figures are illustrative for a narrow-body class turbofan; replace them with your own routing times.

How the numbers are worked out
Takt time = shift length × shifts ÷ engines per day. One engine must leave the line every takt.
Productive hours per assembler per shift = shift length × efficiency.
On shift = labour hours per day ÷ productive hours per person ÷ shifts, rounded up to whole people.
Stations = on-shift people ÷ max crew per station, rounded up. More stations means modules build in parallel.
Build time = labour hours ÷ (crew working one engine × efficiency). If it exceeds takt × stations, the module cannot keep up and is flagged.
Certified roster = on shift × shifts ÷ (1 − absence cover), rounded up. This is how many people must hold the sign-off for that module.
Total headcount adds one team lead per the chosen number of assemblers.
